How to use

How to use our tattoo care products?

"The ideal tattoo process starts at home".

Did you know that you can prepare your skin for getting a new tattoo? Apply C&J Bodymilk twice a day, starting 4 weeks before the tattoo. Then, during the last two days, switch to the C&J Regenerating Cream. Use this three times a day.

This way you can be sure of optimal hydration, and that's important! A well-hydrated skin surface is not only a pleasure to tattoo, it also absorbs the ink pigments much better. And so you get a more refined result.

"Assured of an optimal recovery

After your tattoo is done, you can count on the C&J Recover products for the ideal aftercare and a beautiful healing.

For the first two weeks after the tattoo, apply a thin layer of C&J Regenerating Cream about 5 times a day. Or more often if the tattooed skin feels dry.
With its powerful moisturising effect, the cream stimulates your skin's ability to repair itself optimally. It has a cooling and itching effect and is full of antioxidants that protect the ink pigments.

The Regenerating Cream works best in combination with the C&J Purifying Soap.

Massage it into moistened skin twice a day until a thin lather forms. Rinse it off well, pat the skin dry and apply another layer of Regenerating Cream. This will keep newly-tattooed skin well-cleaned and prevent infections, scabs and scarring.
After 2 weeks, you can gradually phase out the C&J Regenerating Cream and replace it with C&J Pocket Balm.

Important tip: During the recovery phase, your skin must be able to breathe.

Do not use creams when your tattoo is still covered with foil. The exact aftercare date is best decided together with your tattoo artist.

The daily care of your most precious memories.

Chlorine, UV-rays, soap, stress, medication, air pollution, you name it; they have a negative influence on your skin and tattoos. Fortunately, there is the C&J Care line, which will give you long-lasting protection from all these factors, starting at week 3 after the tattoo. Our Care line is for your daily care and comes in different scents: Blackwood, Rocking Roses and Coconut. There is also an unscented version for the most sensitive skin types.

Thanks to their small size, the C&J Pocket Balm (12ml) and the C&J Tattoo Stick (40ml) are super handy to take everywhere. Their antioxidant formula keeps the tattoo pigments alive and protects the lines. They also boost your lipid layer and give your tattoos a beautiful natural shine. So your tattoos will stay as beautiful as the memories they represent.

Do you remember the C&J Bodymilk? You already used it during the preparation for the tattoo. Thanks to its intense hydrating effect, it is also the ideal addition to your daily care from three weeks after the tattoo.

It penetrates the skin immediately, protects the colour and lines of your tattoos, and protects your skin from age spots. And thanks to its super-hydrating properties, you can even use it as an after-sun.

Finally, to avoid having to use after-sun: the C&J Sun Protection (Sunscreen SPF 30 or Sunscreen SPF50+).
UV-rays (both natural rays and sunbed rays) are extra harmful for your skin and the ink pigments of your tattoo. Therefore, apply the C&J suncream at least half an hour before exposure to the sun. Then repeat this several times throughout the day for optimal protection.

The C&J Sun Protection cream is hypoallergenic and transparent. It is water-resistant, without putting an annoying layer of zinc on your skin. It is easy to apply and can be used on both tattooed and non-tattooed skin. So your tattoos will continue to shine as brightly as the sun.
